Doing our part to help you feel at home
On the day of your visit, please be sure to bring your completed new patient forms (if you haven’t sent them in advance), medical and dental insurance cards, and questions you may have for the dentist. If you have dental x-rays from a previous dentist, it is fine to bring those, too.
Please do not be apprehensive if you haven’t been to the dentist for a while. Our team is united in the goal of getting and keeping your mouth in the healthiest state possible . . . no accusations or lectures, just genuine concern for your wellbeing.
The hygienist cleans your teeth. Using special instruments, she gently removes bacteria, plaque, and tartar from between teeth and at the gum line. Teeth are polished to a smooth gleam, and flossing completes the hygiene portion of your visit. X-rays are taken with a quick, painless digital process that produces high resolution images with minimal radiation exposure.
The dentist examines each tooth, measures periodontal pockets, and evaluates overall oral health. If additional work is needed, the dentist explains treatment options.
A follow-up appointment is made for treatment, or you next regular checkup is scheduled.
